Twinkling Tots: Where Little Feet Take Big First Steps!
Our Toddler Gymnastics Program is the perfect place for your little star to bounce, balance, and beam with joy! In Twinkling Tots, kiddos explore movement, coordination, strength, and speed—all while learning how to be part of a class for the very first time.
For over 30 years, we’ve been delighting toddlers with classes packed full of giggles, games, and just the right amount of challenge. We believe that when kids are having fun, they’re learning even more—and our playful approach keeps them engaged from warm-up to cool-down.
Gymnastics isn’t just flips and cartwheels (though those are fun too!)—it builds the foundation for all sports. Whether your tot is headed for the Olympics or just learning to leap, they’ll gain balance, body awareness, and confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Tots Gymnastics FAQ
Can I enroll right now or do I have to wait until the next month starts?
Flying High classes run all year long—no long-term commitment needed!
Jump in anytime; tuition is paid monthly and stays the same, whether the month is long or short (it all evens out!).
Starting mid-month? No worries—we’ll prorate!
A $35 annual admin fee is due when you enroll and each year after. (Non-refundable, but helps keep the magic going!)
If my son/daughter joins class now, will he/she be behind all the other students?
Not at all! Our classes are grouped by age and skill, so everyone’s working on the same fun stuff.
New students jump right in, and those who’ve already mastered the skills have moved on up—so your child will fit right in and shine in no time!
Can Parents/Family stay to watch a class?
Yes! We have viewing rooms available and you are more than welcome to come and watch a class in action! We also have a Café where drinks and snacks can be purchased while you watch class.
What if my child doesn't like it at first?
What if my child doesn’t love it right away?
Totally normal—new things can take time!
For many little ones, this is their first taste of a structured, school-like setting. With a sprinkle of patience, a dash of consistency, and a few repeat visits, most kiddos find their groove and start to shine!
Why are children placed by age but move up by skill?
At Flying High, we group by age to match natural stages of child development—but every kiddo grows at their own pace!
Each class has a skill checklist, and once your child masters all the moves, they’re ready to level up—no matter their age.
It’s all about confidence, progress, and celebrating each child’s unique journey!
What are the uniform requirements?
We recommend leotards for girls—without skirts (they like to get caught on things!). Spandex shorts and snug leggings in chilly months work great too.
Boys should wear a comfy t-shirt and shorts (no zippers or baggy fits, please!). Sweatpants and long sleeves are perfect for cooler days.
What is the evaluation process?
At Flying High, evaluations are a big celebration!
When a coach feels your child is ready, a fresh set of eyes (an evaluator from outside their class) will guide them through their skill list to see how far they’ve come.
If it’s time to level up, they’ll ring the bell loud and proud—while the whole gym cheers them on like the superstar they are!
What are my options if my child needs extra practice?

Why is my Tot wearing a sock around their ankle?
Why is my tot wearing a sock on their ankle?
That little sock is a secret superhero helper!
It marks their “good” foot—the strong one we use to lead in handstands, cartwheels, and other awesome tricks.
We grab socks from the magical white bucket at the start of class and drop them in the black bucket at the end for a fresh wash. Clean, simple, and super helpful!
What is the ever important jump stick?
We teach ALL of our gymnasts to do a jump stick when jumping down from any height; down from bars, off the beam onto a mat, off a trapezoid, etc. The jump stick is a safety precaution that continually reminds gymnasts to land safely on their feet. We teach our tots to jump and land with bent knees while counting to three.
Why are stamps given on the right hand after class?
Why does my child get a stamp on their right hand?
It’s a little badge of honor!
We give stamps to celebrate great listening, hard work, and trying their best.
And by always stamping the right hand, we’re helping tots learn their left from right—ask them to show you their “stamp hand” at home!
